Rubbing peanut butter or egg on their skin doesn’t tell you if they’re allergic-and it can actually be misleading. 👉 For an allergic reaction to be properly assessed, the food needs to be ingested. That’s why I often recommend: - Offering allergens preloaded on a spoon - Or mixing them into foods your baby already accepts And if your baby doesn’t swallow much the first time-that’s normal. 👉 You can simply repeat that same allergen the next day to make sure they actually ingested enough to assess tolerance.
