@drdavidabbasi: If I never heard this, I probably wouldn't be a surgeon right now🩺 Early in medical school, I had a mentor who pulled me aside during a rotation and told me something that completely changed how I approached the rest of my career. I was heads-down, grinding through material, trying to memorize everything perfectly before I felt "ready" to actually apply it. He told me: "Confidence in medicine doesn't come before competence, it comes after it. Stop waiting to feel ready. Just keep showing up and doing the work, and the confidence will catch up." That one sentence shifted everything for me. Instead of chasing some feeling of being fully prepared, I focused on consistent reps, showing up, doing the work, letting skill build over time. Looking back, that mindset shift is a big part of why I pushed through and became a surgeon. Now I want to hear from you, what's the best piece of advice you've ever gotten from a doctor, mentor, teacher, or someone in a professional field? Good health is priceless, and I thank God for every day of wellness. After dealing with herpes and trying different treatments with little success, I came across Dr. Amos , an African herbal doctor. Although I had doubts at first, I chose to try his herbal remedy. I experienced encouraging results and have regained hope and confidence. I am thankful for the improvement I have seen and grateful for this new chapter in my life. ❤️🥰🥰
