my country recently had an uprising where students of all genders protested frontline to overthrow an authoritative regime. right after, the female students tried bringing attention to SA cases that were occurring in the fallout of that whole movement, as the country did not have a proper authority afterwards, and I witnessed the men silence those women saying the focus must be on the gov and women's safety is not important rn. thing is, in my country women's safety was never ever the priority, and in the moment where everyone else was highlighting issues in the country it was only the women's struggle that got dismissed. I will never forget how they treated their female counterparts, to the point of allying the students' new political party with a fundamentalist group that is focused on turning us into Afghanistan. that whole cou try can get fcked
