@tils_tiny_terrors: I almost gave up halfway through💀 I really thought I had found the perfect clay for a build this big. It was light, easy to cover large areas with and seemed like exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, that confidence did not last very long. This project kept finding new ways to make my life harder, but somehow I kept going. Trash Can Monster, Part 2. #monstersculpting #creaturedesign #sculpting #clayart #monsterart

DataBunny_Cosplay :

foam clay isnt great for details. it works a lot better with a lot of water massaged into it. I usually make a mould and press foam clay into it to get tiny details

LizzzTheFox :

Great process! Foam clay is great, but the details need to be carved into it after it dries down (e.g. with a dremel). Would have meant switching up the approach and probably build it up in multiple steps. 😁

Aso :

I use that clay for my figures! It isn’t the best to work with sometimes, but I like it since my things are less prone to breaking with it

Zephyr :

Foam clay also shrinks like crazy. It's useful sometimes but yeah not the easiest

Brandy :

Drape damp paper towels over the areas that you’re not working on. If you need to walk away , you can put the paper towel down then plastic wrap to lock in the moisture.
