Yes he did, when he saved Luke from getting tortured he grabbed that piece of garbage Palpatine and threw him onto the void. He asked to see Luke with his own eyes and said thank you to Luke for saving him, to me he redeemed himself right there and then, no father wants to see one of their children being harmed, Anakin stood up for his own and defended his own against the darkness

I find it really interesting that most of anakins happiest moments were when he was fighting in the war or in a space battle. a Massive destraction to take his mind off his trauma long enough to get an ounce of hapliness that he deserved

Padme Amidala did give him some happy moments but the Jedi basically were run like an old people home.. They could read books but at times couldn't think outside the box. The really Galling thing is Anakin was a very good kid. The Jedi should have wanted him to be happy.. They also should have backed him to the Hilt as he is there best chance of winning the war
