@wellwithsaskia: If you feel guilty after eating, constantly think “I shouldn’t have eaten that”, or feel like you need to compensate for eating by restricting food or exercising, this can be a sign that diet culture is affecting your relationship with food. Food guilt doesn’t mean you did something wrong. You can feel guilty after eating a “bad” food, eating dessert, eating more than usual or simply eating when you weren’t expecting to without actually having done anything wrong. Often, food guilt comes from learned food rules: good foods vs bad foods, clean eating, calorie restriction, “being good”, earning food and needing to make up for what you ate. Healing your relationship with food isn’t about never experiencing food guilt again. It’s learning that you can experience guilt after eating without restricting, compensating or starting over tomorrow. #foodfreedom #foodguilt #nutrition #nutritioncoach #nutritionist

No not food guilt. It’s screaming, wanting to tear skin off, do bad stuff…. because of the fear of weight gain. hardly just a discomfort or being overwhelmed.
