Realistically I KNOW a lot of people don’t know about the trial. But as a bartender, I have never heard more people talk about a court case at my bar than I have with this one. It’s blowing my mind how many people are talking about it. Also horrified at how so many perceive it as entertainment

I would say it’s wider than algorithms. It was on the front page of the BBC News website in England, with daily updates and breakdown of details. Colleagues at work have been discussing it and people have strong opinions across the Atlantic. I struggle to believe they’ll find many people who are unknowing and without an opinion on it. But I guess we’ll see.

Justice for those kids would have been to actually investigate the case. When dna didn’t come back as strong as they would like, To take more samples and complete more testing. Collecting everything at the scene. Making an air tight case to remove any possible reasonable doubt. The prosecution and investigators failed those kids.

I must politely disagree with you about the reach of this case. It's not only tik tok. It's news coverage as well. I live in Poland (a country in Europe, not a city in the USA :) ) and I did watch the trail online. However, even our nationwide tv stations, and newspaper wrote about Lindsay. This horrible story went wrong on so many levels that it has sparked heated debates worldwide. Tik tok is only one of the platforms, there is tv, radio, the internet, podcasts...
