I can vouch for this. Last year was my first fall garden and I bought transplants from Home Depot. I harvested from those greens all winter into spring. I also tried blue collards from seeds I was able to harvest but never like my transplants. They stayed high school students, but my transplants became parents and their offsprings produced harvest into early spring.
