I was staying on the 58th floor of a hotel in Manhattan when the 2003 blackout hit. I had to walk down and then eventually back up 58 flights. Since then I’m lower floors all the way.

I recently had someone who booked a themed room (comes with themed welcome gifts and foods in the room) decide at the desk at check in she would like to change to a higher floor. When told the theme rooms are only on the one floor, she just said “thats fine, I prefer the high floor.” What a waste of expensive food items 😞

People will literally have 7 rooms with family from 3 party and expect to have them all on same floor and next to each others on sold out night !!! When they get informed that they have to reach out in advance to have this accommodation. Always argue is we made reservations together so we expect them to be together. While everyone has different last names how property will know it in advance that they are all together. 😳

I mean, I like higher floors but the difference between 3 and 4 is no existent 😂 my only ask is not 1st floor but I always put that in my booking notes
