@solivagantdeer: blooming slowly has been a blessing, my petals at last unfurling, learning again the gentle warmth of a sun I had forgotten. becoming something new, green giving away to pink, my colors deepening beneath the light I had never known to name. I sway where the wind finds me, no longer afraid of being moved, of dancing with the breeze instead of bending below it. there is laughter where silence once lived, teeth no longer bared in defense, but gleaming in a smile I had almost forgotten how to wear. I did not realize how dearly I missed my own blossom until I found myself standing in it, petals open, roots still holding, and nothing left to hide.
