So thereโ€™s been a LOT of coverage of the resignation of Professor Jason Arday over the last few days - all feeding the grotesque and entirely untrue notion that DEI is the only reason marginalised groups get into positions of power. Even though itโ€™s quite a nuanced case that may involve genuine plagiarism, the difference in treatment between white members of staff and a professor Arday is noticeable.
