Federal authorities arrested Daejon Labrayae Love, 35, and Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, at the Boise Airport on August 24, 2026. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, Love and Chan are accused of operating a romance and investment fraud scheme from February 2022 until their arrests. The federal complaint alleges that Love met women through dating apps and portrayed himself as a San Francisco 49ers player or wealthy real estate investor. Investigators say at least 26 women in California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho sent the men approximately $1.3 million for investments that did not exist. Love has reportedly used several names, including Jon Love, Daejon Love, Avril Lyto Love and Jordan Love. Authorities say Love was in Idaho to meet potential new victims when he and Chan were arrested. Both men face federal charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
