@raeburnshield: Goodbye, South Africa. 🇿🇦❤️ I’m genuinely gutted to be leaving you. I’ve only been here from Thursday to Sunday. It’s been the quickest visit imaginable, and I haven’t seen nearly enough. But I’ve seen enough to know this is a remarkable place. Your country is beautiful. Your people have been amazing. Your rugby is epic. I’ve absolutely loved it. And I desperately hope there’s a way I get to come back soon. If some of the dreams I have for the Raeburn Shield come true, hopefully I’ll be back here watching rugby with you all many, many, many times in the future. Because this has also been a huge weekend for the Raeburn Shield. 🛡️ South Africa still have it. But what really got me was seeing people with the Shield inside the stadium. Fans recognising it. Coming over. Taking photos. Celebrating with it. Getting genuinely excited about this little idea we’ve been building. That was incredibly special. And it made something very clear to me. The momentum is real. We’re building something here. And I really do mean we. You. Me. Us. There isn’t some massive organisation making this happen. It’s rugby fans getting behind an idea and collectively turning it into something bigger. I felt that this weekend more than ever. So thank you, South Africa. Thank you for the welcome. Thank you for the rugby. And thank you for showing the Raeburn Shield so much love.
