@annabelkarmel: Myth: babies need teeth before they can chew! 👶🏼🦷❌ They don’t! Babies have surprisingly strong gums, and they can use them to mash and break down soft foods. The key is preparing food appropriately for your baby’s age and stage. For example, when starting solids, you can offer things like: 🥦 Steamed broccoli florets, cooked until soft 🥑 Soft avocado wedges, easy for little hands to hold You can also make things like soft veggie tots, which are easy for babies to pick up and explore, or no-cook energy balls for a simple snack. The important thing is always making sure food is an appropriate size, shape and texture for your baby, and that they’re sitting upright and supervised while eating.
