@lord.luke5: Replying to @Zanric Is Astra AGI? Depends on what you mean by AGI. In the literal sense, Astra is artificial, increasingly general, and clearly intelligent. But if your definition requires human-level reasoning, long-term memory, and consistent performance across basically every domain, then no, we’re not there yet. That’s the problem with the AGI debate. There isn’t one universally agreed-upon finish line, yet people talk about it like there is. You can argue Astra is AGI. You can argue it isn’t. But acting like AGI is obviously decades away feels harder to defend when the definition itself keeps moving as these systems get more capable. At this point, I think we spend way too much time arguing over the label and not enough time looking at what these models can actually do.
