Having my feed filled with a lot of people basically saying “all crazy people should be locked up” makes this a hard thing to talk about, but hopefully people learning about this might help someone in the future

Inferno made me cry a lot. I only had post partum depression, but I wanted to hurt myself and my kids. I was fortunate to get years of specialized help. Lindsey Clancy tried so hard to get help. Our society is very lacking in mental health resources.

So frustrating to see how many people simply have no idea how serious this condition can be and how psychosis is discriminated against. “No One Cares About Crazy People” by Ron Powers is also a powerful book about how psychosis can present in families

Thank you for your courage and compassion. My sister has PPD (not psychosis) and every one of her medical providers including her therapist dismissed her. She suffered for almost an entire year before anyone took her seriously.
