We’re so fucked in Imperial Beach (SD county) Our Republican council members put their Republican colleague in as mayor without an election. Bro got to vote himself in but we didn’t get a vote. Now he’s sure to win because he’s running against two Democrats. Same thing with the nepo-baby council member who they put in to replace him without a vote in my district because of her mom’s close ties to the Republican council. It feels like a literal coup. Imperial Beach vote for anyone except Mitch McKay and Mariko Nakawatase.
