Is the message that he can't find any fish around him in the sea, or is it deeper than that meaning there's other fish in the sea, but he's stuck in a pool symbolising isolation from society. He's also looking for a way out but it's hard for him due to him feeling comfort in the safety of being alone, hence why his sitting down in a chair instead of attempting to swim out.

the fish i caught was pretty and super beautiful, yet my hands are slippery and shakey from past fish i caught that hurt me, i kept losing the fish but caught it back everytime, this time i lost it and i couldnt catch it, i tried too much my line broke, maybe fishing isnt for me, that was the only fish i wanted and now ill never see it again since its scared of me.
