Honestly we had to switch the handles on her door. She would come out all the time and once we locked it she stopped trying. Once she’s asleep we unlock it so she can come get us if she needs to.

We got my 3 year old a color changing alarm and it has worked since day 1! You can set the times you want the light to be red and when it turns green they can get out of bed! They even have timers for nap time. We keep the sound on zero so it doesn’t wake her up but when she wakes up she can look and see if it’s time to get out of bed.

When my son moved from crib to his bed there was a lottttt of boundary testing. Now we do not go in to move him to bed.. he knows we aren’t going back in (unless there is a true need) so if he sleeps on his floor that’s what he does sometimes 😅
