Delayed gratification is good in that it prevents the financial worries you don’t want to face when you can no longer earn an income. But what persons don’t realize is that things you can enjoy when you are young, you don’t experience it the same way when you are older. For example, you spend your youth saving to buy all the burgers you want. Only to find that when you are amble to buy the burgers you can no longer eat it. (If you get the analogy)

Besides the point im trying to make, there’s a reason why you didn’t respond to the other one…my whole point is most people want to be 20-40 something and be traveling WHILE STILL YOUNG ENOUGH..most people don’t have the funds to simply invest to a point where in 10 years they can retire..you’d have to be making some serious investment to be able to retire in your 30s and most people who are 17-25 can’t even afford to pay rent or bills and still sustain themselves so the little they’d be able to invest is not going to make them be able to retire at 30. While investing is 100% worth it, it’s not ideal to the lifestyle many of us want. AGAIN IM NOT SAYING TO NOT INVEST..I believe everyone should what I’m saying is don’t just invest and say okay this is all I will do because in 20 years I’ll have a nice change. Investing isn’t just simply putting money down on stocks and you get frugal returns nooo. Markets can crash shit can happen. Investing in the S&P 500 is the best choice but then the returns isn’t going to big super big. Most Jamaicans aren’t making over 90k for the month let me just say that.
