@akvance: And third place formula recommendation would be goat milk. I can tell he loves drinking the @Kendamil USA milk, but it’s the grassiness and fussiness in between that has us ALL in a twist. I’m not 100% sure that the Boon bottles are the best fit for him, but the @Mylicon drops are giving us a reprieve for nap times 👏🏻 Thank you all for your recommendations— I read every comment and they’ve been so incredibly helpful 🫶🏻

Similac alimentum was a life saver for me. My baby has serve reflux and has a dairy intolerance, we also use the boon bottles with the curve nipple they have a premie and slow flow I would try a different nipple size also helps a lot with reflux babies to have a slower flow than normal. Pepcid was also a life saver for my babies reflux!!

if he is leaking out of his mouth while eating and gulping, it's because he doesn't have a good latch. therefore he will inhale tons of air, thus making him gassy or colicky. speaking from experience, get evaled for tongue/lip tie. got my girls revised at ENT and she is a new baby

I just survived 9 days of no naps and terrible sleep with constant crying from gas. I know you tried a lot of formulas, but in my colic support groups many moms recommend the RTF version of formulas for better digestion. Maybe try the aliumentum or nutramigen RTF, if you BF cut out all cows milk protein and whey (check ALL ingredients) and soy because it can flare up CMPA/CMPI. With bottles only use these 3: nuk perfect match, lansinoh, and evenflo wide. Evenflo wide has been by far the best for gas. Our routine is mylicon drops first, feed one breast or 2 oz bottle, burp, repeat. Gripe water after feed. Keep esophagus more elevated than the belly for atleast 20 minutes. Burp throughout the day even when not feeding. Atleast 2 tummy time sessions per day. Baths as needed. Warm wash cloth over their belly in the bath and massage their abdomen using the ILY method. Today was the first day I’ve had a happy baby in 9 days because of one exposure to whey in my breastmilk!!

We ended up using Enfamil AR with rice- he wasn’t no colicky but dealt a lot with reflux. This was the only formula that helped him not throw it all up

Lansinoh bottles with size 1 (extra slow) nipples and famotidine. I also suggest hypoallergenic formula. I use the parent choice brand.

This sounds like my baby! Turns out- he needed Similac RTF (not powder- it has corn which upsets tummy), daily pepcid, AND turns out he had 4 oral ties that needed released! Getting them released has made a world of difference. Ask your ped for a reference to see a specialist!

This sounds just like my son a year ago we tried everything and finally we found that kendamil goat, NEXIUM and mam bottle but with the size zero nipples he was a completely different baby especially after our pediatrician put him on NEXIUM

My girl had the same issues. She has a cow milk protein allergy. We went from screaming pain, mylecon, and acid reflux meds to nothing when we changed to alumentum. Now of course it still has cow milk protein but the most broken down form. She only gets a small eczema patch now. Much happier. And the ready to feed has been the easier mixture for her

I would visit a a dr about a lip tie and tongue tie. He might need to have surgery to have those released so that he can latch on to the bottle properly. The gulping is allowing too much air in to his tummy. Also they have exercises that will allow you to help him pass the gas.

My son did this, and he could only have the Similac sensitive premade. My daughter could only have Similac sensitive powdered formula. Have you tried gas drops? Possibly reflux? They put my son on medication for reflux.

Dr browns bottles with the slowest nipple-preemie flow. Side lying and pace feeding with the boppy. Look it up. Life changing. Look at this baby

NEOCATE formula!!! It was a lifesaver for both my girls!! My girls sounded exactly like your baby. It’s amino based milk protein FREE and completely broken down so babies tummy doesn’t have to do any work. They give it to micro preemies and they thrive!! My first daughter was like your son for 4 months, it was heartbreaking. Then she was seen by the head pediatric gastroenterologist at UCLA medical center and he immediately put her on NEOCATE and changed all our lives. The problem is most of the formulas people are suggesting even though they’re supposed to be non-allergic highly sensitive they all still contain milk or soy protein, and this is usually the issue.

if your pediatrician does not give you guys pepcid you need to 1. asked the doctor to document that in the chart that you asked and were told no. and then immediately start looking for new doctor.
