I remember realising this when I was like 22. One of my friends popped round and an hour later I was so ready for her to leave because she was talking the entire time. Then one of my husband’s (boyfriend at the time) friends came round to see us and he stayed all day, we ordered a take away, he ended up staying over and we watched YouTube videos until the early hours, made pancakes in the morning then he said should we go out for Sunday lunch? He was with us over 24 hours and it was so easy. I realised some people drain your energy and some don’t require any. I felt awful about preferring to spend time with my husband’s friend but it was just about energy.
