One time we were at tj maxx and my husband was playing around & shushed me, he was behind me and I didn't realize how close he was so I swung back and hit him real hard in the face (I was trying to pretend hit him LOL) and there was a lady in the same aisle and she just said "and just like that he won't do it again" 😭😭😂

I shushed my wife one time because we were arguing and she was getting loud while we were with family and I meant it in like a “hey I know we are fighting but you’re going to be embarrassed and upset later if we don’t just keep it between us” protective vibe. She lunged at me like we were about to fight. I behave much better now.

A salesman in a store did that to me years ago...my 2 girls were with me ages 4 and 6. They still talk about how I went off on him! And they are in their 30's now... 🤣

My last ex was good to me, one time he shushed me while we were talking about something trivial /I don't even remember what was about) I stopped in my tracks he felt, kW knew he had fked up, he tried to talk I shushed him back and told him that conversation was done for both parts, he had done that to me, he wanted to shut me up, so he would also shut up because I would not listen a single word coming out his mouth after that. OH I could feel he regretted that moment for a while.

My partner and I do a volume gesture with our hand if we’re getting too elevated. He’s deaf and I’m Italian so we sometimes have to be reminded to use our inside voices 😭
