@chuythedramashihtzu: He's not asleep. I want to be very clear about this. What you are seeing is not a nap. It is a surveillance operation conducted from a horizontal position. He does this every time I sit down near him. Goes completely still, eyes closed, breathing slow — the full performance. And then right when you think he's out, he peeks. Just checks in. Makes sure everything is running according to his standards. Then he goes back. Eyes closed. Back to "sleeping." He's been doing this for two years and I only just figured out what it was. I thought he was a heavy sleeper. He's a light sleeper who is also a professional.
