My Auntie had a home on the lake. The family celebrated the 4th of July at the home. The neighbors had small boats on the lake having a nice time.

My dad worked at Lakeside Country Club in Toluca Lake for over 20 years. Super exclusive membership - Bob Hope gave my dad a real gold lighter that ran out of lighter fluid. He got my brother a job as a caddie and he caddied for a bunch of movie stars and rich folk
