I think some people misunderstood the point of the AI in Cyberpunk 2077. they were victims of the system as much as the people were, because they were actually conscious and alive. Basically another species being exploited and crushed by corporate greed. they weren't villains in the setting and never have been.

There are no rogue AIs. They do not think for themselves or have a sense of self. They are always programmed (or not programmed) in specific ways to learn how to best handle a problem and execute that. The reason things are framed this way is to push blame away from human developers. The programs were instructed to do these very things but we dump it on some formless "rogue AI" bs

For the record, this shit is all fearmongering to push stock prices higher by making the models look more capable than they really are. These actions still require human hands to set them off. A human still started whatever led to the AI hacking situation.
