Yes, I agree. As someone who was sexually abused by my father through teasing and inappropriate touching and I only picked it up 2 years ago. I’m 46. I am the mother to a 12 year old boy and i refuse to let him be a statistic. We have the awkward conversations and the ones where we are belly laughing. He is growing into a boy who is confident with who he is. 💙💙

Instilled what consent means into my boys from when they could talk. If somebody is laughing when being ticked but says stop, you stop immediately. As they’ve grown older the conversation has shifted, the principle remains the same ❤️

I can totally relate, I was abused by my brother, tried to tell my mum, but it was brushed under the carpet, i don’t recall very much, and only last year he was convicted as he was trying to groom children on line…..says this was the first time….doubt it!
