I am sending this message to my Haitian brothers and sisters in Haiti and around the world. I am here in the United States, and this all happened while I was on TikTok. I happened to hear several stories about “Nice B” and the tragic situation that ended another young woman’s life. From what I have been hearing, there are allegations that she is connected to gang members and has relationships with people involved with gangs. Whatever the situation was between her and the young woman who lost her life, what happened was terribly wrong. The way that young woman’s life was taken, reportedly with a machete, is heartbreaking and disturbing. I am not here to judge the entire situation because I was not there, but if these allegations are true, this kind of violence is completely unacceptable. No disagreement or conflict should ever end with someone losing their life in such a horrific way. There must be accountability and justice.
I have to ask: Is there nothing good that can come out of Haiti? When will this beautiful Caribbean country receive the positive recognition it deserves? I am honestly at a loss for words. This situation hurts many of us Haitians who still believe in good people and want to see our country represented for the good that exists within it. To Nice B, if you are responsible for what happened, you should be ashamed of your actions and understand the pain you have caused this young woman’s family. And to the Haitian community, please stand with this family and demand justice through the proper authorities. Let the world know that there are good, caring, and peaceful people in Haiti. Haiti is more than violence, gangs, and tragedy. There are still many Haitians who believe in doing what is right.
May this young woman’s family find strength and justice during this painful time.
