I wouldn’t look for it, but I would definitely report it. Because if that person commits a crime or hits somebody or does anything worse. It’s still registered to you as the last owner, even if the registration is out of date.

File the report bc if it gets abandoned then it’s on you. This happened to me and I had to pay the state for every single day they had it sitting after they found it. It was a nightmare and I still didn’t get the car back after paying.
