you gotta get em in the first 3 months. you have to be hard on them and not care if they like you. THEN once younhave the routine and expectations firmly in place the you can back off a bit and start letting their real personalities show...respectfully. hard first 3...relentless.

first 3 months i was a gentle teacher. then I realized gentle teaching isn't for non gentle kids. they don't listen to me. but now it's like "when I reach the count of 3, who ever is still standing, I'll yeet you out the classroom. 1. 2..." and they'd be running to their desks at 2 as if their life depends on it. 🤣🤣🤣

The look 😂 I’ve mastered that over the years 😂 I saw some of my old year 6 students outside of school, they were messing around. They spotted me, went silent and my husband said “are they your students” 😂😂😂

We had a short female geography teacher in an all boys school. (Mrs George) she could control a class of 30 6’ boys with ease. Some of the new male teachers were just useless

The experienced teacher didn't even bother to take their coat off, I'm with you I'd have mine on as long as possible sometimes you need a coat comfort blanket!!!
