Absolutely 100% true. That is exactly why I left my last company. They would let anybody do anything. If you were sitting on your phone all day and talking chitchatting, there’s no punishment. But anytime you try to take initiative it’s fround upon. It was the most backwards ass company I’ve ever worked for. I basically just did all the work while everybody else just stood around joking about life and talking about hockey. So frustrating.
