When I was going through PPD. My Intrusive thoughts was more I was scared I wasn't going to be able to protect her from the dangers of the world. NEVER was it that I was doing something to harm her.

I have a lot of intrusive thoughts due to my OCD. They are a huge part of the reason I didn’t have kids. Mind you, I’ve never acted on my intrusive thoughts. They are thoughts that come into your mind and you reject them immediately. But I knew having kids would make them so much worse and I didn’t wanna have to deal with that.

I have OCD, had an intrusive thought of swan driving off the top of my stairs one day after putting up a load of laundry. I’ve never had a thought of harming my kids, or anything of the sort.

Just came from a beach vacation where my family and I stayed in a condo with a balcony on the 21st floor. Incredible view, but I have an 8mo old son and when I tell you I death gripped my baby when we were out there because of the crazy “What if” scenarios that popped into my head.

I have reoccurring intrusive thoughts ive had since childhood. they usually show up erratically and without warning. For example. Today while in the grocery store I envisioned grabbing a passing stranger and drowning them in the lobster tank. I could see it happening in real time and it made me feel sick to my stomach. Did I do it? no. Did I want to? no. Did I have the thought and it felt real. Yes. Thats intrusive
