I wash them as soon I get them home. I let them sit in water and vinegar for a bit. No more fruit flies.

fruit flies come from your kitchen sink and that's where they lay the eggs!! keep your sink shut tight!!! and poor bleach in the sink leave it over night done...

Keep your bananas in the fridge. The skin turns brown, but the fruit inside stays perfect three to four times longer than on the counter. Plus ice cold banana just tastes delicious.

Fruit flies also lay eggs in the brown part of the opposite end of the banana. You can take some tape and lay it across the end of the banana and that will take care of that. I also use the sticky tape thing that the store uses to wrap around the bananas and sometimes I use the brand sticker (like Chiquita) to put over the ends.

Jar with vinegar put saran wrap over it poke holes in it with a fork. Fruit flies can get in, but can’t get out always works!!!
