the play pen/gated circle thing.. good idea bc I have a puppy and a 2 year old. I didnt think about giving the baby a safe space that the dog or toddler can't reach the baby

Another pro tip, my toddler (2nd born says it all) is a climber. Just keep all the chairs up on bar/ kitchen table so they’re not able to dance on elevated surfaces 🙃

I am really particular about what my kids eat especially for breakfast. I normally cook a whole balanced breakfast with eggs and meat and some kind of carb and fruit. But I had to let that go when I had a newborn. I realized that they will be totally fine if they get toaster waffles or cereal for breakfast for a month or two when I’m postpartum. They will have “real” breakfast for the rest of their life.

34 weeks high risk pregnancy with a 2 year old. This helped ease my mind so much and it’s refreshing having a mama who’s actually straightforward, not judgmental, and realistic.

Sound machines! We still have a sound machine in our 2 boys room who are almost 10! It helps drown out the dog and cat walking around, if the 16 months old randomly wakes up at night, the 5 year old doesn’t usually wake up but sometimes has nightmares. Helps so much!
