@emmanuelokogbenin1: FINAL PART : Palm Oil Water test, DID this palm oil pass or not? Share Your thoughts in the comments section. Tell Me if You would be repeating the test. @Aproko Doctor @NIFOR News #palmoil #dye #watertest #palmoilbusiness #cookingoil
God bless you, sir. Unfortunately, well-researched content like this may not go viral, while less thoroughly researched videos often attract more attention. This is where NAFDAC should step in, investigate these claims, enforce the relevant safety standards, and ensure that products sold to the public are safe for Nigerians.

The long and short of the matter. The test only works on water soluble dyes

okay just seeing this though ....but can we satisfactorily say the environments are the same - the other man used a tumbler, what say you repeat this with a flat bottom drinking glass cup....

The dye can only separate in water if it’s water soluble If it’s fat/oil soluble it will remain with the oil and won’t separate in water so instead of arguing whether Aporoko doctor is right or wrong you people should teach us how to test for and separate oil soluble dye from the oil the only way we can truly know the truth

sisi_flora :
Yes, you have countered the test but yet to profer another reliable test. Well, I think another simple way to detect the dye is to rub it on your palms, oil containing dye will give a lasting stain than normal palm oil.

is the dye that cheap? If it's that cheap, why can't govt put tariff on it so it can be more costlier than oil

It’s oil first then add water. Not the other way round!!!! This is chemistry!!! You’re performing a different thing.

techND :
Most dyes used for palm oil adulterations are water soluble because it's cheaper. That's why Aproko doctor's test is still a good test.

wrong, according to science, oil is lighter than water while dye is heavier than water. the dye is supposed to go down and mix with the water. I don't know what u have in ur hand that u called dyed oil.
