@happybaby.hq: Wondering why your baby doesn't sleep longer at night? You're not alone, mama. 🌙 RESEARCH SAYS IT'S NORMAL: 1. Tiny tummy: Newborns have a small stomach, so they must wake every few hours to eat. Most will be ready to feed at least every 3 hours. 2. Big brain work: Human babies are born with brains only 1/4 of adult size — they must feed often to fuel rapid brain growth, waking frequently at night. 3. No clock yet: Newborns have immature circadian clocks, resulting in irregular sleep times. Pronounced rhythms in sleep-wake only develop after 2 months. 4. Short sleep cycles: Newborns sleep 16-17 hours but only 2-3 hours at a time. They think they're supposed to be awake at night and sleep during the day — that's normal until 3 months+. It's not bad habit. It's biology. And it passes. 💛 #creatorsearchinsights #babysleephelp #babyhealth #newmom
