I think you’re missing the point. I don’t want to become “that guy” just so a woman chooses me because I have more money, a better body, more status, or because I’m the best option available to her at the moment. What happens when someone with more money or status comes along? She upgrades again? I want a woman who genuinely loves me for me, the same way I want to genuinely love her for her. Of course we should all work on ourselves and become better people, but love shouldn’t be a competition where you constantly have to outperform the next man to keep your partner. The goal isn’t to become the man she can’t upgrade from. The goal is to find the woman who doesn’t look at love that way in the first place.
