when paying attention to the signs don't focus on their hands but focus more so on their face bc when signing your/their hands could go all over the place and it could get tiring to focus on their hands and you could miss some info and miss understand what they're saying and as much as it doesn't make sense, it actually helps understand what they're saying much more I learned this from my asl professor and once I actually started doing it I was able to understand him much more and I actually found it distracting when the interpreters were translating for him ik this was rlly long but I hope this helps for those who were struggling ❤️
