It’s General Conference season again. The talks have all been written and shuffled off to be translated into different languages so they can be read live both by the translators and the GA’s giving the audience motivational inspiration via the stimulus known as emotion. Emotion is then confused with “feeling the spirit” by members who don’t understand emotion is not how the Holy Spirit gives revelation. What will NOT be covered in these talks is knowledge; the real story of preexistence, an understanding of the Book of Revelation, what happens when you die. Useful stuff to understanding the Gospel. Why is that? Because the people pretending to be Prophets, Seers, and Revelator’s don’t know these things themselves. These talks will be like being hungry, eating, then being hungry again a short time later. This continued cycle of temporary emotional stimulation without knowledge will leave you in the same state lacking any progression when you look back 20 years later. The REAL Gospel is far more complicated, detailed, and interesting than the juvenile Santa Klaus version taught as Mormon doctrine.
