So what you are saying is try and forget. But how do you forget regrets. Things you should have done. Things you didn’t do. It seems my brain is hard wired into remembering. I know your brain has the ability to change and what you’re saying makes complete sense to me. Something I’ve never heard before. I’m going to try my hardest to change my pathways. It will be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

All my family and loved ones are gone. I have avoided meeting others for years because I don’t care to. I’m in my 70’s. I live in a very rural area. I have no recourse … the only life I ever had seems to be in the past. I’ve been searching for something in the future since my dad died 5yrs ago…. And there is nothing to look forward to. So I look at the past for daily comfort. … remembering my grandmothers hugs and her scent, the way my parents loved me, etc. there’s nothing else to live by.
