Interesting comments. I weaned off lexapro fairly quick compared to these comments. I went from 20 to 10 to 5 then off. I did a month at each dose. I was on 20 for probably 6 months before I decided it wasn’t worth the side effects I was having.

how long will you need to taper it? I tapered off venlaflaxine over 12 months, thought it was usually ranked the hardest anti depressant to get off of.

Cross tapered from Lexapro 20mg after 1 year to Viibryd… I AM SO MUCH HAPPIER. it was a tough 5/6 weeks.

Talk to your dr about switching to prozac and then tapering off. You take both for a bit and then it’s much easier to come off
