Me! Back in the 70s and 80s my pediatrician placed me on low dose antibiotics because I ran a constant fever and could not find out why. At 36, I had a huge flare that forced me into the hospital and had to have biopsies of lymph glands. I was eventually diagnosed with Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia. I am 57 and went through years of therapy to learn how to regulate how I handle stress and to deal with my past. I have had a flare free life for about 14 years now.

There are some studies that suggest adverse childhoods are linked to chronic illness(specifically speaking on endometriosis). So i believe that it can 100% lead to it especially if it’s prolonged.
