one thing my dad told me as I started driving is that you never smell your own vehicle. you always smell the vehicle in front of you. that made me worry less every time I smelled burning oil.

LMFAOOOOOO the fuckin 'mysterious smells literally always has me going, "Ah fuck......" even though I ride a 2023 Triumph Tiger. like... I dont even have a chain but that *sounds* like it could be me... or that truck over there. but it *could* be me... and i immediately go into scanner mode checking my bike while riding and testing for additional noises with or without throttle lmao

big rigs smell like electrical fires. just know if you smell hot wires, and you're behind an 18 wheeler, its not your bike. its the literal piss they put in the exhaust

Man I rode past a dutch bros coffee shop yesterday and granted I don't like coffee or the smell of it but it legit smelled like shit, not coffee, it was so bad.
