Being Christian doesn't come with perks. It won't reinforce your "self" as it requires to love your neighbor as you do yourself; and in turn, love yourself as you do your neighbor. To consent to the absolute good and put your attention and devotion towards the most good you can do in your life. To let grace in one must renounce the "I". And this isn't something someone would want right away; but when I love the world as a whole, a love that hurts me at times, that requires effort, it is shown to be to be worth every ounce of effort, when I see the faces and witness the lives I positively impacted through my work.
