@realkevinjjohnston: CAN I LIVE IN PANAMA FOR UNDER $4000 PER MONTH? It is absolutely possible to live a very comfortable life in Panama for $4,000 Canadian per month. Keep in mind you're going to lose about 31 cents per dollar because Mark Carney is an awful individual who has chosen to destroy the country and is blaming Trump for it. Nonetheless, your money will still have some value for about a year. However, I wouldn't count on doing absolutely nothing with your life and praying to God that everything holds out. You still need to have an income, but when you're in Panama, you don't pay tax on any earnings you make from clients who exist outside of the country. I go to a lot of restaurants where I can buy a very delicious and solid meal for $4. There are some buffets I go to where you pay $12 and you can load up. If your strategy is to fill up a lot at mealtime, you could very easily pay $15 a day on food and do very well with that. There are some grocery stores that are incredibly inexpensive, and if you're into cooking for yourself, you can buy a 5-lb chicken for $2.25. Again, you have to go to the right places, and I happen to know where they all are. If you go to the correct movie theatres, you're paying $6 for a movie, and if you take public transit, you're paying $0.35 to ride an incredibly modern subway train.
