They keep changing their doctrine! Soon Birthdays will be “a conscience matter”. Slowly they’ll introduce “after much prayer and consideration, we have read the scriptures and decided the celebration of Christ birth is a conscience matter”…

Just wait a little. They’ll reverse this whole birthday argument and probably use the line that birthdates aren’t forbidden in the bible so we shouldn’t make a rule. Exactly what they did with beards and blood. Plus, the book of Job talks about him celebrating his kids, each one on their own day. Sounds like a birthday to me

Jesus wasn’t born on Christmas. Also lots of pagan background for Christmas. The ornaments in the tree and presents have an awful meaning. We celebrate life and the people we love everyday. [Red heart]

It’s interesting that many of you responded with hate towards the standard of Jehovah’s witnesses on not celebrating birthdays. But the scripture doesn’t teach that we should. Jesus never did but you say you’re Christians? If you don’t follow what Christ teaches then how are you a Christian? Is it only what’s convenient for you to follow that you do?

2Timothy 3:16 There is no filler in the Bible. It’s recorded that Jesus attended a marriage reception. He even made wine for the couple so that they would not be embarrassed. Jesus first miracle performed. God approves of this type of celebration. The birthday celebration. Jesus, first cousin was beheaded at a birthday party. Herod did not worship God. The optics should matter.

dogs are mentioned 40 times as vile, dirty, disgusting and in negative connotation is that a good reason not to have dogs as Christians? And there are no mentions of early Christians as having one as a pet. Needs to be a better explanation as to why birthday party's are not favored by God.
