I will say as a year 7 teacher the practice of writing these long ass lesson plans definitely helps you understand and be able to explain your language target, learning objectives, etc. which you will need to be able to explain well to your admin when they do formal observations on you but otherwise you're really never going to make a lesson plan like this irl

I wish; each content is 4-5 pages and due every Thursday at 12; God forbid an idea pops in your mind on the way to work -better include it on the plan or it’s docked during observation.

Not to play devils advocate but those long lesson plans made me understand what goes into actually teaching the lessons. So yes it sucks, but it helped me so much in the long run
