@paigemac91: It would be - DONT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THE MIDDLE. Don’t make your kids count down their time when they’re with the other parent. I have never and will never play the game of “well it’s just a week” or “you only have to make it a weekend” or my personal favorite “you only have to spend time with dad’s girlfriend until he gets home”. No ma’am. The kids should be able to have fun at both houses with everybody without feeling guilty or like they can’t spend time with someone without making you mad.
