Raimi MJ was kinda always doomed to get hated on because she is maybe the only love interest in comic book movie history whose love is treated with the depth of you'd expect from a real person instead of a prize to be won by the protagonist as a reward for his character arc.

bro i just love this version of Spiderman the story despite what others says is so good because it shows his struggles and how hes human hes so relatable, while the new Spiderman with tom holland doesnt feel like he has much struggles or at least human struggles that are relatable or at least moments where its like i can feel for him hes not even a a-hole either hes just more of a wide eyed happy go lucky character now

A lot of people think MJ was a bad person but she was a complex character and had hopes and dreams and sometimes she didn’t care for other man she just cared for Peter to show up for her she didn’t know he was spiderman for a long time and thought Peter didn’t think of her like a priority she had valid reasons to be upset but she was also human and made mistakes that hurt Peter, unfortunately neither one is good or bad they just weren’t on the same page most of the time

MJ hate is undeserved. Yes, Peter was struggling to balance his two lives, but MJ didn’t know that and he didn’t let her get close to him. Plus he kept going back and forth on whether or not he wanted to act on his feelings. They’re both flawed characters but that’s what I like about them. Makes them feel more real.

Let’s be fr Peter was the one that kissed Gwen in spiderman 3 and ruined everything. Yall hating on MJ too much, I did too but that’s cuz I was larping, I rewatched 1-2-3 and MJ ain’t even bad, it was Peter that kissed Gwen when their relationship was already heated
