Went to Moringa bootcamp and degree in Software Engineering from USIU. They’re not the same. I learnt so much core fundamentals of software engineering than the bootcamp. I vouch for both — regardless of the order (degree then bootcamp or bootcamp then degree)

A Degree is very important. If you don't have one please go for it. In the job market, Your Income is determined based on the level of your studies. ( Speaking from experience) Have the degree then go for that bootcamp. You will be in a position to negotiate a better pay and scale up very fast for promotions.

Exactly 💯. I did Mechanical engineering but transitioned to Tech by taking short courses online and in-house.

just to be clear, the degree y we are referring to is specific in computer science or just a degree?😅 and then what happened to portfolios being more important than papers or the point is a degree with a portfolio is and added advantage?

Barrier to entry is high right now in tech because of AI. I would advise you to take that degree because you will be cut out at shortlisting.
